Epididymitis

Epididymitis is a condition that causes inflammation of the epididymis, a small, cord-like structure located behind the testicle that stores and transports sperm. The most common symptoms of epididymitis are pain and swelling in the testicle area, as well as a fever and discomfort while urinating. This condition is often caused by a bacterial infection, but can also be caused by a sexually transmitted infection, an injury to the testicles, or a complication from another medical condition. Treatment typically involves antibiotics to clear the infection, pain relievers to manage the discomfort, and rest.
