Upper Tract Urothelial Cell Carcinoma

Upper tract urothelial cell carcinoma (UTUCC) is a type of cancer that affects the lining of the urinary tract in the upper part of the urinary system including the renal pelvis and ureters. UTUCC is a relatively rare type of cancer but it is often more aggressive and has a higher risk of spreading to other parts of the body compared to bladder cancer that affects the lower urinary tract. Treatment options include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy.
